Machar granite are interested in people and place, space and time.
Specifically we like observing people. Not in a sinister way, merely people going about their mundane daily lives. You can gain a lot from the look on their faces. Equally we like to eavesdrop on conversation.
There are stories. The specific details don’t matter but you still recognise the scene. Stories are important to Machar Granite. Some of them true, others merely hearsay. Some are fiction. Sometimes they can be a mixture of all three. Relationships are maintained and hinged upon these stories and the interactions between people. The community. Our very existence. Tight knit in a fine weave. A way of counteracting the wild winds which batter this rocky coast from time to time. Or perhaps the climate takes another form. A death in the family or of a local hero.
Our music is shaped in a climate such as this and more.
